One of the nation's finest football venues, Acrisure Stadium has been the home of Panthers football since opening in 2001. The venue, formerly known as Heinz Field, is Pitt's fifth home stadium and provides stunning views of the Downtown skyline from its location on Pittsburgh's North Shore.
The 2022 edition of the Backyard Brawl drew a crowd of 70,622 to Art Rooney Avenue— the largest to attend a sporting event in the city's history.
Acrisure Stadium is also home to the six-time Super Bowl champion Pittsburgh Steelers. The turf is a blend of four variations of Kentucky Bluegrass, covering just over two acres.
