Ranks fourth nationally in quarterback sacks with 1.36 per game (through Nov. 1). Knight has 10.5 total sacks. His sack total is already the most by a Panther player since 1991.
Knight's pass rushing ability has helped Pittsburgh produce a Big East-best 32 sacks.
Twice has been named the Big East Defensive Player of the Week. Knight earned the honor in consecutive weeks (following the Bowling Green and Penn State games). Only four other players in conference history have earned the Big East's defensive award for two straight weeks.

Logged a career-high 12 tackles and his first career interception in Pittsburgh's near-upset at Virginia Tech. Knight's interception led to a 17-yard touchdown pass from John Turman to Antonio Bryant that gave the Panthers a 13-7 lead.
Actually began his collegiate career as a 190-pound wide receiver in 1997.
