Men's Cross Country Finishes Third at Duquesne Invitational

PITTSBURGH-The University of Pittsburgh men's cross country finished third out of 12 teams at the Duquesne Invitational over the weekend.
The Panthers were paced by sophomore Mike Diano (Penn Hills, Pa./Penn Hills), who darted to a 10th-place finish with a time of 26:53. Freshman Darrell Curtis (Carlisle, Pa./Cumberland Valley) and sophomore Dan Hull (Lancaster, Pa./Hempfield) placed 18th and 19th, respectively, with times of 27:06 and 27:07, while freshman Nick Westerman (Cincinnati, Ohio/Elder) was right behind them with a 22nd-place finish in 27:14. Freshman Jeryl Wilborn (Milton, Pa./Milton) rounded out the Panther top 5, placing 32nd in 27:49.
Pittsburgh has two weeks off before it travels to the Big East Championship on Friday, Oct. 26. The conference championship will be held in Van Cortland Park, N.Y.
