Men's Soccer Drops 2-0 Loss at Boston College

BOSTON- Boston College used goals from Neil Krause and Guy Melamed to defeat the Pittsburgh men?s soccer team 2-0 Sunday in Boston. The loss drops Pittsburgh to 7-6-1 overall and 2-5-1 in the Big East while Boston College is now 8-3-0 overall and 5-2-0 in the Big East.
Boston College grabbed a 1-0 lead midway through the first half. BC?s Uri Magen-David broke free down the left side and hit Krause with a crossing pass in front of the net. Krause put the ball away at the 33:27 mark.
Six minutes into the second half, a handball was called against Pittsburgh outside the box and directly in front of the goal, giving Boston College a free kick. Melamed scored on a ball put into the upper right-hand corner of the net at 52:09 for BC?s 2-0 lead.
Pittsburgh is next in action Saturday, October 26 at Rutgers.
