Pittsburgh wins its seventh consecutive match to remain unbeaten in Big East play.

WASHINGTON D.C.?Junior Megan Miller and senior Wendy Hatlestad registered a combined total of 35 kills to lead the Pittsburgh Women?s Volleyball team to a 3-0 win over Georgetown on Sunday afternoon by scores of 30-25, 30-24 and 30-22.

Pittsburgh (13-3, 3-0 Big East) remained undefeated in Big East play this season by registering its seventh consecutive match win, while Georgetown drops to 6-12 overall and 1-3 in Big East play.

Miller (Milford, Conn./Jonathan Law) registered a match-high 19 kills on 27 attempts for a .630 hitting percentage, while Hatlestad (Roseville, Minn./Roseville Area), recorded 16 kills on 34 attempts to hit .324, and registered a match-high 15 digs to give the Panthers their second double-double performance this week.

Junior setter Lindsey Macke (Ft. Thomas, Ky./Notre Dame Academy) added a match-high 42 assists and two digs, while teammate Sarah Rollman (Norfolk, Neb./Norfolk) added seven kills and 11 digs for Pittsburgh.

The Hoyas were led by Rachel Nelson and Ashley Lancaster who had 16 and 10 kills each. Nelson?s team-best 11 digs gave her Georgetown?s only double-double in the match.

Pittsburgh returns home for a Friday, Oct. 10^th Big East match against Connecticut. The match is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Fitzgerald Field House.
