Volleyball Earns 3-1 Win Over Boston College

PITTSBURGH- The Pittsburgh volleyball team (17-5) remains undefeated in the Big East with a win over Boston College, 30-23,30-28, 20-30, 30-22. The Panthers are now 5-0 in the Big East, and playing strong with seven straight wins.
Junior Gini Ullery (Tracy, Calif./ Tracy) led the Panthers to victory with 19 kills, a .240 hitting percentage and nine digs. Sophomore Azadeh Boroumand (Red Deer, Alberta/ Thurber) led the team in assists with a total of 50, along with 16 digs and three kills.
Junior libero Megan McGrane (Muncie, Ind./ Delta) had 17 digs and one kill, matching her season-high, to help bring the Panthers to victory over the Boston College Eagles (17-9, 3-2 Big East). Senior Megan Miller (Milford, Conn./ Jonathan Law) had 17 kills, with a .289 hitting percentage, along with two digs.
Senior Lindsey Macke (Ft. Thomas, KY./ Notre Dame Academy) matched her season-high digs (14), and provided two service aces, along with six assists to lead the Panthers to their 22nd win over Boston College.
The Panthers take on the Huskies from Connecticut tomorrow, Oct. 31 at 2:00 p.m.
