MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa.? Freshman Dwayne Chin netted a goal with 1:54 remaining in regulation to lead Robert Morris to a 1-0 victory Wednesday evening over the Pittsburgh men?s soccer team. Pittsburgh falls to 2-1-2 overall on the season.
The Colonials had played five games this season without scoring a goal before Chin finished off a cross from Joe Di Buono with 1:54 left in the second half. The goal gave Robert Morris their first win of the season as they now stand at 1-4-1.
To the point of Chin's game-winning goal, the game was played close throughout. Pittsburgh outshot the Colonials, 11-7, after each team had three shots in the first half.
Keeyan Young managed three shots for Pittsburgh. Pittsburgh falls to 13-8-2 all-time against Robert Morris in men?s soccer.
The Panthers are back in action on Saturday, Sept. 25 at Connecticut for a 7:30 p.m. match in Storrs.
