The Panthers Earn Top Marks at Penn State National Open

PITTSUBURGH ? The men?s and women?s track and field teams finished with some top marks this weekend in the Penn State National Open at
The Distance Medley team of senior captain Jeryl Wilborn, sophomores Kareem Cousar and Tim Konoval and freshman Sam Bair captured first with a time of 9:49.43. Wilborn had another top time in the 600 meter run with a time of 1:19.92. Bair went on to take a fourth-place finish in the mile, clocking in at 4:06.40.
The women?s team went on to break
Senior Amanda Walker captured her second double win of the season in field events.
Finishing second in the 500 meter run was sophomore Julianna Reed with a time of 1:14.15. Senior Lamoy Stephens finished in the third-place spot with a 12.70 meter triple jump. Stephens and Reed teamed up with senior captain Kimberly Lyles and freshman Shantea Calhoun in the 4x400 meter relay. The team finished fourth with a time of 3:46.76.
