GAME NOTES

*Pitt and Penn State met for the 145^th time on Saturday. The series marks Pitt's second all-time longest series.

*Pitt's 37-point victory was Pitt's largest-ever in the 145-game series against Penn State. Pitt bested its 30-point win (83-53) on December 8, 2001.

*Pitt won its fifth consecutive matchup against Penn State. The victory was its sixth in the series' last seven games. Pitt also improved to 70-75 overall against PSU and 46-31 in games hosted by Pitt.

*Pitt begins its season at 7-0 for the fourth consecutive season.

*Pitt has held six consecutive opponents to 60 points or less.

*Pitt improved to 34-1 overall against non-conference opponents at the Petersen Events Center. Pitt has also now won 55 of its last 56 home games against non-conference opponents.

*With his 20 points, Carl Krauser moved into 18^th place on Pitt's all-time career scoring list. He now has 1,268 points and surpassed Jaron Brown (1,258 points). He needs just seven points to pass Chevon Troutman (1,274).

*Krauser finished with his 17^th career 20-plus point game of his career.

*Junior Aaron Gray notched his fifth double-double in seven games this year. He finished with 10 points and 12 rebounds.

*Senior John DeGroat tied a career-high with 11 points on the day.
