PITTSBURGH--The University of Pittsburgh men's swimming and diving team earned two votes in the College Swim Coaches Association (CSCAA) dual meet poll, as announced by CSCAA on Thursday. Pitt was one of two Big East teams to earn votes during the week.
This season, Pitt (3-1, 1-1 Big East) has claimed convincing wins over St. Bonaventure (148.5-94.5), Big East foe Syracuse (169-74) and Oakland (165-78). The Panthers' lone loss of the season came in the home-opener against No. 19 Notre Dame where they battled to a nail-biting 122-121 loss.
Pitt last won votes in the 2004-05 pre-season rankings, where it was rated 17th.
The Panthers resume dual-meet competition against West Virginia on Saturday, Jan. 7 in Morgantown, Va.
