Pittsburgh Battles Connecticut This Weekend in Three-Game Series

GAME INFORMATION Pittsburgh looks to snap a current four-game losing streak as it travels to Storrs, Conn., for a three-game series against Big East Conference foe Connecticut this weekend. The Panthers (13-12, 1-6 Big East) have dropped six straight conference games despite being one of the top hitting and pitching teams in the conference. The teams are scheduled to play a doubleheader Saturday with the first game scheduled for noon. They will wrap up the series on Sunday with a third game also starting at noon. Last year, Pittsburgh faced Connecticut in a three-game series at Trees Field and lost two of the three games to the Huskies. The Panthers are looking to get back to their winning ways as they are curently on a four game losing streak. The last time Pittsburgh dropped four consectutive games was at the close of the 2004 season. Connecticut owns a 19-7 overall record and are 3-2 in the Big East.
