5/14/2005
PITTSBURGH - The three-game series that was to be played at Trees Field this weekend against Big East rival, Notre Dame, has been pushed back due to inclement weather conditions.
The two teams will meet for a doubleheader on Sunday beginning at noon and finish up the series on Monday at noon with a single game.
The Panthers, who rank fourth in the Big East with a record of 10-9, are looking to earn a spot in the tournament for the second year in a row. Notre Dame ranks just above Pittsburgh in Big East standings with a record of 10-7-1.
