POST-GAME NOTES

*Several Pitt winning streaks came to an end today. Those streaks include:

-A 10-gamee win streak to begin the 2006-07 season. The 10-game win streak ranks as the ninth longest on Pittâ?^TMs all-time win streak list.

-A 21-game non-conference game win streak dating back to 2005.

-A six-game non-conference road win streak dating back to a Dec. 31, 2002 loss at Georgia.

-A 10-game season non-conference game win streak.

-A 10-game win streak against Big Ten opponents dating back to a Dec. 6, 2000 loss to Penn State. Pitt has now won 16 of its last 18 games against Big Ten opponents.

-A three-game win streak against Wisconsin.

*Aaron Grayâ?^TMs four-game double-double streak came to end. He led Pitt with 17 points and eight rebounds in 32 minutes of play despite playing with flu symptoms. He continues to lead the Big East with seven double-doubles.

*Ronald Ramon tied his season-high with 16 points. Eleven of his 16 points came in the first half. Ramon also set career-highs for field goal attempts (14) and 3-point field goal attempts (10).

*With his 11 points, Antonio Graves in his seventh of 11 games this year. He has 25 career double figure scoring games.

*With his 14 points, Mike Cook reached double figures for the eighth time in 11 games.

*With his 10 points, Levance Fields has now reached double figures 14 times in his career.

*Pittâ?^TMs 14-point loss represented only its second double-digit loss in Jamie Dixonâ?^TMs four seasons and 109 games as the Panthersâ?^TM head coach. Dixon drops to 86-23 in his four seasons as Pittâ?^TMs head coach. Pittâ?^TMs only other loss by 10 points or more during that span was in the 2004 NCAA Regional against Oklahoma State on March 25, 2004 (12 points, 63-51).

*The 14-point loss was Pittâ?^TMs largest margin of defeat since a 22-point loss to Boston College (79-57) in the Big East Championship Final on March 10, 2001.

*Pitt dropped to 7-11 all-time in its series against Wisconsin. The series dates back to Dec. 15, 1928. Pitt won the previous three meetings against the Badgers. The game was the second of a home-and-home series with Wisconsin. Pitt claimed a 73-64 win last year at the Petersen Events Center.

*Pittâ?^TMs 10-0 start to the 2006-07 season ranks sixth among its all-time best starts to a season. In his four seasons at Pitt, Dixon has guided Pitt to season starts of 18-0 in 2003-04, 10-0 in 2004-05, 15-0 in 2005-06 and 10-0 in 2006-07.

*Pittâ?^TMs 10-point halftime deficit was its largest halftime deficit since it trailed 31-19 at St. Johnâ?^TMs on January 21, 2006.

*The contest represented Pittâ?^TMs third road game of the year. Pitt drops to 2-1 in road contests on the season.

*No. 7 ranked Wisconsin represented Pittâ?^TMs highest ranked non-conference road opponent since it played at No.5 Massachusetts on Dec. 7, 1994, an 85-57 UMass win. The Badgers represented Pittâ?^TMs first ranked opponent of the season.

*Pitt Head Coach Jamie Dixon dropped his first-ever contest in December. He dropped to 26-1 in December games. Dixon also dropped to 45-2 vs. non-conference competition in his four years as head coach at Pitt.

*With the loss, Pitt dropped to 10-1 on the season. Prior to this afternoonâ?^TMs game, Pitt was one of three schools nationally to own undefeated records in both menâ?^TMs and womenâ?^TMs basketball. The other school is Connecticut.

*Pitt dropped to 2-1 in games when trailing at halftime.

*For the first time this season, an opponent (Wisconsin, 89) scored over 70 points against Pitt. Prior to this afternoon, Pitt limited an opponent under 70 points in 10 consecutive games and limited 18 of its last 20 opponents to 70 points or less. Additionally, Pitt has limited 91 of its last 109 opponents under 70 points.
