POST-GAME NOTES

*Sam Young scored a career-high 18 points on 7-10 shooting. He also tied a career-high with seven field goals made. Young also registered his second consecutive double digit scoring game, his fifth double figure game of the year and 17^th of his career.

*With his 16 points, Levance Fields totaled his fourth consecutive double figure scoring game. Fields tallied his 16^th double figure game of his career. His seven field goals made set a career-high. The 16 points marked a season-high for Fields, whose career-high is 18 points set vs. Bradley in last year's NCAA Tournament.

*Pitt shot 56.5 percent (35-62) from the floor. Pitt has now shot over 50 percent from the floor in eight of 13 games this season.

*Pitt's bench scored 43 points on the evening. The Panthers bench outscored Dayton 43-6.

*Pitt and Dayton met for the first time in men's basketball. The Panthers improved to 3-0 vs. Atlantic-10 foes on the season and 125-77 all-time against the A-10.

*Pitt outrebounded Dayton 45-22. Pitt also grabbed 17 offensive rebounds, its highest total of the year.

*Pitt Head Coach Jamie Dixon improved to 27-2 in December contests. Dixon is also 46-3 all-time against non-conference competition in his four years as head coach at Pitt.
