ROSEMONT, Ill. - The Pitt men's soccer team captured its second straight win in a 1-0 victory over DePaul on Friday, Sept. 15, at Wish Field. The Panthers used the final seconds of the game to move their record to 2-4-1 overall and 2-1-0 in the Big East.

Senior Keeyan Young (North Wales, Pa./Haverford School) scored his first goal of the season and 22nd of his career. This moved Young up the Panthers' all-time goals list to a three-way tie for sixth.

With nine seconds remaining in regulation, freshman Matt Baker (Bethlehem, Pa./Bethlehem) took a corner kick for Pitt. Fellow freshman Orane Gordon (Kingston, Jamaica) fielded Baker's kick, passing the ball off to Young who drilled it into the net from 12 yards out with one second left on the clock.

The Panthers outshot the Blue Devils (2-4-2, 1-2-0 Big East) 10-9 with six shots on goal. Pitt goalie Andy Jorgensen (Doylestown, Pa./Elizabethtown/Central Bucks East) finished the day with two saves and recorded his first shutout of the season, while sophomore goal keeper Brian Visser had five saves for DePaul.

DePaul had its first chance of the afternoon in the 10^th minute of play when midfielder Joe Sondag's header was knocked away by Jorgensen, who made a diving save. Sondag struck again late in the game with a shot from the top of the box flew wide of the left of the goal post.

The Panthers will continue Big East play on Sunday, Sept. 16, as they travel to Tampa to take on USF at 1 p.m. Pitt returns to Founders Field on Wednesday, Sept. 20, for a 7 p.m., non-conference match up with Xavier.
