PITTSBURGH -
• Pitt is now 7-0 all-time against Cincinnati, including 3-0 in Big East play. Since the resumption of the series in 2005, the teams have played for the "River City Rivalry" Trophy, claimed by Pitt each of the last three seasons.
• Since 1970, Pitt is 26-11-1 in Homecoming games.
• Pitt wore all blue uniforms today; marking the first time the Panthers have worn that look since Nov. 8, 2003 when they defeated Virginia Tech, 31-28, at Heinz Field.
• With his 137 yards today, freshman running back LeSean McCoy vaulted past Demetrius Harris (675 yards) for third on the list for single season rushing yards by a freshman. He now has 805 yards for the year.
• Today also marked McCoy's fourth 100 yard performance this season. He is on pace to become Pitt's first 1,000-yard rusher in seven years. Kevan Barlow was the last Panther to hit the milestone, rushing for 1,167 in 2000. Curvin Richards was the last freshman to eclipse the 1,000 yard mark in1988 (1,228).
• Sophomore wide receiver T.J. Porter set career highs in both receptions and receiving yards today. He finished with 85 yards on 7 receptions.
• The Panther defense pounced on two Cincinnati fumbles and added an interception late in the fourth quarter to seal the victory. Those three turnovers marked a season-high for Pitt.
• Today's victory ended the Panthers' four game losing streak against ranked teams and was Pitt's first win over a nationally ranked opponent since they upset No. 21 West Virginia on Nov. 25, 2004. It also marked Coach Dave Wannstedt's first victory over a ranked foe.
• LaRod Stephens-Howling finished the game with 100 yards on 13 carries. Today marked the first time that two Pitt rushers have gone for over 100 yards since Darnell Dickerson (108 yards) and Curvin Richardson (202 yards) did so against Rutgers on Nov. 5 1988.
• Redshirt junior placekicker Conor Lee extended his record of consecutive PATs to 66 today. He was 1-1 on extra points this afternoon.
