GAME STORY
Winners of two of its last three games, Pitt looks to take a step closer to bowl eligibility with a victory at Rutgers.
The Panthers are 19-5 all-time against Rutgers but have lost each of the last two meetings. In 2006, Pitt dropped a 20-10 decision at Heinz Field. The Panthers last visited New Jersey in 2005 and fell 37-29 to the Scarlet Knights.
The game will feature the top two rushers in the Big East Conference, Pitt freshman LeSean McCoy and Rutgers junior Ray Rice. McCoy averages 118.3 yards per game, second in the Big East only to Rice's 150.0 average. Both rank among the country's top 15 ground gainers.
With 11 rushing touchdowns, McCoy is eyeing the Pitt freshman record of 13 set by the legendary Tony Dorsett in 1973.
