Kristin Brown Earns Academic All-America Honors

PITTSBURGH--Just days after qualifying for the Olympic Trials, senior Kristin Brown of the Pitt swimming and diving team was selected as a member of the 2007 ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America team, as announced Thursday by CoSIDA.
Brown (East Berlin, Pa./Bermudian Springs) was announced as an ESPN The Magazine All-Academic first team member, as she carried a 4.0 GPA in History of Art and Architecture. Earlier this season, Brown was honored for her academic achievement as she was named the Big East/Aeropostale Swimming and Diving Student-Athlete of the Year and earned the Faculty of Arts and Science Dean's Award, as well as, the College of Arts and Sciences Undergraduate Studies Award.
ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District teams are made up of athletes with at least a 3.2 GPA, of sophomore status and participated in at least 50 percent of all the team's competitions during the season.
