Cross Country Travels East for Paul Short Invitational

PITTSBURGH - The men and women's cross country teams continue their 2007 seasons this weekend at the Paul Short Invitational in Bethlehem, Pa. The invitational will begin at 5 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 28th.
Both the men and women are looking to improve off of impressive performances in the first two meets of the season. At the Lock Haven Invitational last weekend, the men's squad placed second out of eight teams with three runners in the top 15, while the women also boasted three top-15 finishes.
The men were led by freshman Joshua Christopher (Irwin, Pa./Penn-Trafford) who placed fourth overall at the meet, with sophomore Kyle Kaminski (Bethel Park, Pa./Bethel Park) and senior Eric Burnett (Pittsburgh, Pa./Fox Chapel) placing10th and 11th, respectively.
Senior Amy Ruffolo (Wexford, Pa./North Allegheny) registered a sixth place finish for the Panthers, followed by freshman Anna Yoney (Irwin, Pa./Norwin) and junior Alexandra Briggs (Washington, Pa./Washington) who joined Ruffolo in the top-15.
Last season at the Paul Short Invitational, the men took second place with two top-15 finishes, while the women placed 27th overall.
