Campbell and Dooley Named to All-Big East Teams

PITTSBURGH-On the eve of the start of the Big East Volleyball Championship, Pitt senior Kelly Campbell and junior Meagan Dooley were honored at the Westin Convention Center, Thursday evening, as they earned All-Big East honors at the conference banquet.
Campbell (Mansfield, Ohio/Mansfield/Pacific) garnered All-Big East first team honors for the first time in her career. She led the team with 402 kills, 26 aces and was second in digs with 272. In Big East play, she posted a team high 206 and ranked fourth in the league in the same category.
Earning her third consecutive nod from the league, Dooley (West Chester, Ohio/Lakota West) was named to the All-Big East second team. On the year, Dooley chipped in 242 kills and was second in blocking with 105 total stuffs. In conference play, she totaled 58 blocks and posted a 1.16 block per set average.
Together the two of them make up 43 percent of the team's offense and have combined to stuff over half of the opponent's attack.
The Big East Championship begins at 10 a.m. in Fitzgerald Field House on Pitt's campus. The Panthers start their quest to earn their 12th league title at 6 p.m., against Cincinnati.
