Track and Field Heads to New Balance Collegiate Invitational

The men's and women's indoor track and field squads return to competition tomorrow in N.Y. at the New Balance Collegiate Invitational. Antony Hobwana has already compiled a long list of qualifications that he has already met this season. Hobwana (Hrare, Zimbabwe/Prince Edward School), has qualified for the Big East in the 60 meter dash, 200 meter dash and the long jump. He has also garnered a qualifying time for the IC4A in the 60 meter dash. Junior Eric Jones and sophomore Brandon Turner will both compete in the long jump and triple jump events this weekend. Both Jones ( For the women, Shantea and Shanea Calhoun have both recorded Big East and ECAC qualifying times in the 200 meters and the 1600-meter relay. The Calhoun sisters both competed on the 1600-meter relay team that recorded a time of 3:45.64 at the Kentucky Rod McCravy Memorial, surpassing the ECAC qualifying mark in that event.
