PITTSBURGH–The University of Pittsburgh women’s volleyball travels for two matches this weekend, facing Cincinnati on Saturday, Oct. 3, and then Louisville on Sunday, Oct. 4. Both matches are set for 2 p.m. and will be available on gametracker.
Pitt is on a five-match win streak, after shutting out conference opponents Marquette and Syracuse, last week. She also leads the league in hitting percentage (.565), kills (29) and points (35.5).
Cincinnati (10-7, 1-0 Big East) is coming off a 3-1 loss to Dayton, earlier this week. The Bearcats are led by Stephanie Niemer with 307 kills on the year. Pitt leads the all-time series, 8-6, including a come-from-behind 3-2 victory in the first round of the Big East Tournament, last season.
Also coming off a loss, Louisville dropped a 3-2 match to Tennessee at Cardinal Arena, despite 21 kills from Lola Arslanbekova. The Cardinals hold an 8-4 lead in the series history, and won 3-1 over the Panthers in the second round of the 2008 Big East Tournament.
