PITTSBURGH - • Game captains for Pitt are #2 TE Dorin Dickerson, #6 LB Steve Dell, #15 LB Shane Murray and #56 OL Joe Thomas.
• Redshirt freshman WR Mike Shanahan made his first career start in the game. • TE Mike Cruz's two-yard TD reception in the first quarter marks the first reception and the first TD of his career.
• QB Bill Stull again strung together an impressive start, hitting all of his first 11 passes on the day, including a 40-yard TD pass to Jonathan Baldwin in the second quarter.
• Stull finished the day 18-of-25 for 245 yards with two touchdowns and an interception.
• RB Dion Lewis' 111 yards in the game gives him 1,029 yards on the season, making him the fourth freshman in school history to record 1,000 yards rushing in their rookie season.
• Lewis' two TD runs gives him 72 points this season, which ties him for third in freshman scoring with Larry Fitzgerald (72 pts. in 2002).
• Lewis also has registered 12 TDs in just eight games, which is three from tying the freshman record of 15 TDs by LeSean McCoy.
• Lewis' 111 yards rushing on the day gives him five 100-yard rushing games in his brief eight-game career.
