PITTSBURGH—The 102nd “Backyard Brawl” between Pitt and West Virginia will be a national ESPN2 telecast and have a 7 p.m. kickoff at Milan Puskar Stadium in Morgantown.
The game will mark Pitt’s first visit to West Virginia since the Panthers’ landmark 13-9 victory over the Mountaineers on Dec. 1, 2007.
Ranked No. 8 by The Associated Press and No. 9 in the USA Today coaches poll, Pitt (9-1, 5-0 Big East) has its highest November rankings since 1982. The Panthers moved up to ninth in this week's Bowl Championship Series ratings, their highest BCS listing ever.
Pitt has a bye this week before the WVU game. The Panthers will conclude their regular season against Cincinnati (10-0, 6-0) at Heinz Field on Dec. 5. Kickoff time for the Cincinnati game is TBA.
