GAME STORYLINES
Pitt looks to remain atop the Big East standings when its visits league foe USF at Raymond James Stadium. The Panthers, with one conference loss, are looking to stay ahead of a pack of four Big East teams with two league losses each.
A victory at USF would give Pitt bowl eligibility for the third consecutive season. The Panthers have advanced to bowls each of the past two years, including 2009 when they defeated North Carolina in the Meineke Car Care Bowl.
Pitt is 10-6 over its last 16 road contests. The six losses have been by a margin of just 4.7 points per game.
The Panthers are 25-11 over their last 36 games, the program's winningest stretch since the 2001-04 seasons.
BROADCAST INFORMATION
TV: The Pitt-USF game will be a national ESPN2 telecast. Bob Wischusen (play-by-play) and Brian Griese (color) form the broadcast crew.
PITT RADIO: The new radio home for Pitt football is 50,000-watt flagship KDKA-FM, Sportsradio 93.7 The Fan. Games are also carried on the Pitt Sports Radio Network. Bill Hillgrove (play-by-play), three-time Pitt All-American Bill Fralic (color) and John Seibel (sideline) will call the action.
SIRIUS XM RADIO: The Pitt-USF game will be aired on SIRIUS channel 126 (Pitt broadcast).

SERIES HISTORY
This is the eighth meeting between Pitt and USF in a series that dates back to 2001...the Panthers lead the series, 4-3, and have won each of the last two encounters...Pitt rolled past USF, 41-14, last year at Heinz Field...in 2008, the Panthers defeated the No. 10 Bulls, 26-21, at Raymond James Stadium in front of a national ESPN Thursday night television audience...Pitt is 2-1 in its three visits to Tampa, the lone loss a 22-12 setback in 2006...in 2004, the visiting Panthers clinched an invite to the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl with a 43-14 victory in the regular-season finale for both teams...that game was played on Dec. 4, 2004, a switch from its original Labor Day date (Sept. 6) due to Hurricane Frances...in the initial meeting between the two teams, the Bulls defeated host Pitt, 35-26, in 2001.
