PRINCETON, N.J.—Pitt’s women’s track and field team finished fourth with 39 points at the 2010 ECAC Championships, held at Weaver Stadium on Princeton’s campus, this weekend.
Nearly eclipsing the school record of 44.38, Pitt’s 4x100M relay team placed second with a season-best time of 44.57. The squad was made up of freshman Ashley Woodford, junior Da’Lynn Mills, freshman Jonnique Lawrence and sophomore Cambrya Jones.
Claiming an individual second-place finish, Mills turned in a 23.76 performance in the 200M dash. Trailing Mills, Jones placed sixth in the same event with a time of 24.20.
Earlier, in the finals of the 100M dash, Mills placed fourth (11.97), while Jones finished fifth overall (12.03).
In the 400M hurdles, senior Brittany Broyles was one of five hurdlers to cross the finish line under the minute mark. She improved upon her prelims time of 1:00.20, to finish fourth overall at 59.77.
The Panthers now await invitations to the NCAA Regionals.
