PITTSBURGH - The University of Pittsburgh baseball team has postponed their game against Ohio State University here at Bill Davis Stadium in Columbus, Ohio.
The Panthers and Buckeyes got three batters into the top of the first with Pitt holding a 1-0 lead with a runner on third when the rain picked up, forcing a delay which lasted just over a half hour before ultimately calling the game. There is no scheduled make-up as both teams prepare for their regular-season ending conference series this weekend.
Pitt will return home to host the Unviersity of South Florida in a three-game set starting Thursday, May 18th at 6 p.m. at Trees Field. The Panthers enter the weekend one game behind Connecticut and a half game behind Louisvile in the Big East Conference standings.
