PITTSBURGH—Pitt senior defensive lineman Myles Caragein has been named to the Capital One Academic All-District 2 Team, announced today by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
Caragein (Pittsburgh, Pa./Keystone Oaks) was selected by a vote of members of CoSIDA. As an All-District honoree, he will now be placed on the national ballot for Academic All-American consideration.
Caragein has started all nine games at nose tackle for the Panthers and has 29 tackles on the season. He had a career-high nine stops against Cincinnati this past week.
