GAME STORYLINES
Pitt takes to the road to face surging Louisville in a game with postseason and Big East title implications. The Panthers need two victories in their final three games to gain bowl eligibility. Louisville has won three consecutive contests and sits behind only first-place Cincinnati in the Big East standings.
Louisville's recent success has been fueled by a stout defense. The Cardinals lead the Big East in both total defense (322.0 yards/game) and points allowed (18.3 points/game). Louisville has held six opponents to 17 points or less this year.
This will only be the third away game of the year for Pitt. The Panthers are 0-2 on the road this season.
The Panthers have won three consecutive games over Louisville. Pitt, however, is just 1-3 in their last four games on the road against the Cardinals.
