Women's Cross Team Finishes Sixth at ECAC/IC4A Championship

Bronx, N.Y.- The University of Pittsburgh women’s cross country team finished 6th at the ECAC/IC4A championship this weekend.
The Panthers wrapped up their season in the Bronx, N.Y. at Van Cortlandt Park on Saturday, finishing ahead of 13 other teams with a total of 173 points in the 5k race.
Sophomore Morgan Perry led the pack of Panthers, finishing in 17th place with a time of 19:04.5. This is the fourth time this year that Perry has recorded the best time for the Panthers.
Freshman Paige Anderson ran a 19:24.4 time to finish in 30th. Freshman Alexandra Cady finished in 37th place running a 19:35.5.
Cayla Del Piano (45th), Kathryn Born (52nd) and Hillary Boxheimer (61st) rounded out the scoring for Pittsburgh.
The men’s and women’s track and field teams will open up their season on November 30th in the Blue and Gold Intra Squad meet.
