Pitt Baseball Hosts Annual Navy-Vegas World Series

PITTSBURGH - The University of Pittsburgh baseball team will host a trio of intrasquad contests in its annual Navy-Vegas World Series this week.
The games, which will be held at Charles L. Cost Field and played on Thursday (3:15), Friday (4:15) and Saturday (Noon), are free to all fans.
The Panthers, who will begin their inaugural season in the ACC in 2014, are coming off one of the most successful seasons the school history. In the 2013 campaign, Pitt tallied a program-best 42-17 (18-6 Big East) record that featured eight weekend series sweeps. Additionally, the Panthers were ranked in all five major college baseball polls for the first time in history.
