
Pitt Cross Country Competes At Mid-Atlantic Regionals

PITTSBURGH —The University of Pittsburgh cross country teams turned in two top-20 finishes for the Panthers as the women team took a 14th-place finish in the 6k race and the men took a 16th-place finish in the 10k race at the Mid-Atlantic Regionals.
On the women's side, sophomore Hillary Boxheimer led the Panthers who finished 48th with a time of 21:27 at the Regionals in Bethlehem, Pa., on Friday afternoon. Sophomore Michael Runco highlighted the day for the men's side, finishing 54th with a time of 31:31.
The Panthers placed 16th in the team standings with 421 points. The meet fielded 26 men's squads and 29 women's squads.
