Panther Great Keith Gavin Wins U.S. Open

LAS VEGAS - Panther great Keith Gavin, a two-time All-American and 2008 National Champion, won his first U.S. Open Title on Saturday evening in Las Vegas.
Gavin captured the 84 kg/ 185 pound championship with a hard fought 1-0, 1-1, 2-1 victory over Clayton Foster of Grit Athletics/Cowboy WC for his first-career U.S. Open title.
With his win, Gavin has earned a spot in the final-round series of June's U.S. World Team Trials held in Stillwater, Okla.
In addition to Gavin, two additional Panther greats, Ryan Tomei and Drew Headlee, also competed in the event.
