PITTSBURGH-
Hey Panther fans!
With 49 practices left before our Blue Gold meet against Kent State, we are starting out the month of October getting ready for our ghost and goblin intrasquad scrimmage on Halloween.
We have all been making progress in the gym and are beginning to put full routines together so we can focus earlier on the specific details. Lisa Soto, Tiara Chadran and Kelly Burak are all making steady progress after returning from injuries, but unfortunately we have lost a couple of girls this season to injuries as well. Even with these losses, the team is stepping up to the plate with enthusiasm and support. The team dynamic this year is amazing, supporting each other both in and out of the gym and collaborating to make this year the best ever.
Towards the end of September, we had four recruits on campus for the weekend. We had dinner, went to the football game and even had a scavenger hunt around campus. We got a jumpstart on team bonding and cannot wait to have them on the team next year!
The team is also having fun participating in the Battle of the Panthers competition, supporting the community and our fellow athletes. We are also working hard in our classes to get the highest team GPA this year, hoping to improve from our second place finish last year.
We had a blast at our annual photo shoot which is when we take both our roster and poster pictures. Get ready to see our new poster and be sure to check out our newly announced competition schedule so you know when to come and show your Panther pride at meets!
Stay tuned for more updates throughout preseason and we can’t wait to see all of you during season!
Hail to PITT!
