Corey Baker (Palm Beach Cardinals - Class A Advanced | Florida State League): Baker made his fourth start of the season last week and came on in relief in another for a total of 4.2 innings. In his relief appearance, Baker retired both batters he faced, striking out one. On Sunday, he started and went four innings, giving up two earned runs and striking out two.

Raymond Black (San Jose Giants - Class A | California League): Black was called up to the San Jose Giants of the California League, Class A Advanced during the week. In his first outing with the Giants on Saturday, Black tossed a perfect seventh inning with a strikeout to earn the win in relief.

Luke Curtis (Wisconsin Timber Rattlers - Class A | Midwest League): Curtis had another long relief outing in his only appearance for the Timber Rattlers last week, pitching three innings for the third time in his last four appearances. He held down the fort, lowering his ERA by almost a full run to 4.34 after allowing just one unearned run in three innings. In the game, Curtis struck out two three.

Adam Dian (AZL Rangers - Rookie | Arizona League): Dian was called out of the bullpen twice last week, and for the third time in the last eight days. He struggled in his three career outing, walking four and surrendering a run in just one-third of an inning. He bounced back two days later and didn't allow a run, striking out a career-high two batters in one frame.

John Schultz (Evansville Otters | Independent League): Schultz's only action last week came in a doubleheader at Traverse City. In the first game of the double-dip, Schultz walked, extending his reached base streak to 13 consecutive games. He failed to collect a hit in either game, however.

Elvin Soto (Hillsboro Hops - Class A Short Season | Northwest League): Soto had an extremely productive week, recording three multi-hit games in five games played. including a three-hit, three run game last Monday. Overall, the catcher batted .500 (7-14, hit two homers, drove in three runs and crossed the plate six times. In the weekend finale against Spokane, Soto accounted for all four Hops runs, going 2-for-3 with a two-run homer, two RBIs and two runs scored.
