PITTSBURGH -- The Pitt baseball coaching staff has announced two opportunities to participate in summer baseball camps at the University of Pittsburgh's Charles L. Cost Field.
The first session will be held June 22-25 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:45 p.m., Monday through Thursday.
The second session will run July 14-17 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:45 p.m., Tuesday through Friday.
Registration is available online at www.pittbaseballclinics.com.
"We are pleased once again to offer the best youth baseball camp experience in the region," said head coach Joe Jordano. "Every summer we have a great time teaching the game to young players. The four days are a progressive learning period designed to teach but also ensure a memorable experience!"
Basic fundamentals are taught in the morning with controlled scrimmages slated for the afternoons. Games will be designed to directly apply the lessons campers learn during morning segments.
In Coach Jordano's time at Pitt, 53 of his players have gone on to sign professional contracts. He has coached 12 All-Americans and 49 All-Conference selectees, and is the winnningest baseball coach in the University's history.
