PITTSBURGH—Pitt Athletics is proud to announce that it has sold out its initial allotment of more than 7,000 tickets to the 2016 New Era Pinstripe Bowl, where the Pitt football team will meet Northwestern at New York City's iconic Yankee Stadium on Dec. 28 at 2 p.m.
This is the second consecutive year that Pitt fans have purchased the football team's full initial allotment of bowl tickets, building on last year's ticket sales success for the Military Bowl against Navy.
An additional allotment of New Era Pinstripe Bowl tickets was requested and is now on sale for fans to purchase. Pitt fans that have yet to purchase can do so visiting www.pittsburghpanthers.com/bowltickets or by calling the Panthers Ticket Office at 800-643-7488.
The Panthers finished the regular season with an 8-4 record and enter the postseason in the Top 25 rankings in the Associated Press poll (No. 22) and College Football Playoff ratings (No. 23).
