Relays Kick off Men's ACC Championship

GREENSBORO, N.C. - Opening action in the 2016 Men's Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Championships from the Greensboro Aquatic Center, the Pitt men's relay teams kicked off the weekend with flair.
The group of Mack Rice, Haden Calegan, David Sweeny Jr. and Gabe Larson placed second in their heat and 10th overall in the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:28.25.
Taking second in heat one, the team of Sweeney Jr., Brian Lovasik, Martin Vogel and Zach Lierely touched the wall with a time of 6:35.00 in the 800 free relay.
The men will return to the pool tomorrow as they compete in the 500 free, 200 IM, 50 free and 200 free relay.
