Women Second After Day One of ECACs

ANNAPOLIS, Md. – The Pitt women’s swim and dive team sits in second after the first day of the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Championships as Samantha Winkelmann and the 400 medley relay team posted second place finishes.
Through one day of competition, the women own second with 32 points. The men currently sit in ninth with four points.
Winkelmann earned a score of 252.30 on the 1M board to capture the silver medal. Fellow diver Cheyenne Neuenschwander earned fourth with a score of 241.55.
The women’s 400 medley relay team of Samantha Baird, Maddie Marcelle, Jenny Young and Tia VanLandeghem earned second with a time of 3:48.11. The 200 free relay team earned fifth as the group of Young, Baird, Maggie Feltman and Lindsey Rodenkirk touched with a time of 1:35.39.
Young also captured fifth in the 50 free with a time of 23.37.
Competing for the men, Nathan Crikelair earned 13th on the 3M board with a time of 187.20.
