Final Season Notes
PITTSBURGH - The University of Pittsburgh baseball team completed one of its most successful seasons as a member of the ACC, competing in its third season as a member of one of the nation's toughest baseball conferences.

ZEUCH TOPS DRAFT LIST
- T.J. Zeuch became the highest draft pick in Pitt history at the 2016 First-Year Player Draft as he was taken with the 21st pick by the Toronto Blue Jays
- Zeuch is just the second Panther to be drafted in the first round, joining Al Lachowicz in the elite club, as Lachowicz was taken with the 24th pick by the Texas Rangers in 1981
FIVE PANTHERS TABBED IN DRAFT
- Five Pitt Panthers heard their names called in the 2016 First-Year Player Draft, the second highest showing in program history
- T.J. Zeuch led the way for Pitt as he was taken with the 21st overall pick by the Toronto Blue Jays
- After an impressive showing in the 2016 season, Charles Leblanc was selected in the fourth round with the 129th pick of the Texas Rangers
- Joining Leblanc in the Rangers draft class, Alex Kowalczyk was taken in the 12th round with the 369th pick
- In the 28th round, senior outfielder Aaron Schnurbusch was the 836th overall pick of the Chicago White Sox, while junior utility man Nick Yarnall was the 35th round selection of the Los Angeles Dodgers with pick 1,061
PANTHERS LAND FOUR ON ALL-ACC SQUADS
- Pitt was well-represented on the All-ACC teams, as the Panthers earned their first all-conference honors as a member of one of the nation's toughest baseball leagues
- Charles Leblanc was named to the first team, while T.J. Zeuch earned second team honors, Nick Yarnall garnered third team recognition and Yaya Chentouf landed on the all-freshman team
LEBLANC WINS ACC BATTING TITLE
- Charles Leblanc was crowned the ACC's batting champion after posting a regular season average of .405
- His mark was the only average north of .400 in the ACC, as he ranked 13th in the nation at the conclusion of the regular season
- Leblanc posted the highest average in the ACC in seven years, as his .405 is the first above .400 since 2010 (Yasmani Grandal - Miami - .401) and the highest since 2009 (Dustin Ackley - North Carolina - .417)
