COLUMBUS, Ohio—Three more Pitt swimmers advanced to the finals of the USA Swimming Winter Nationals on Friday at the McCorkle Aquatic Pavilion, with senior Lina Rathsack posting her second top-10 finish in as many days in Columbus.
Following up her seventh-place finish in the 200-yard IM on Thursday, Rathsack placed ninth in the 100-yard breast Friday after winning the B Final with a dominant performance in a time of 59.89.
Also earning second swims for the Panthers Friday were sophomores Valerie Daigneault and Brian Ramsey. Daigneault added to her 14th-place race in the 200 IM yesterday by placing 13th in the 100-yard back with a mark of 54.16, while Ramsey swam to a 20th-place finish in the 100-yard breast in a time of 55.07.
