Pearson, Laymon Compete at NCAA Regionals

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Competing at the NCAA Regionals hosted by West Virginia, University of Pittsburgh gymnasts Tracey Pearson and Taylor Laymon represented the Panthers Saturday afternoon.
Pearson competed first for the Panthers, posting a vault score of 9.800. The mark was good enough to place in a tie for 13th for the senior.
Next to compete for the Panthers, Laymon was solid on uneven bars, earning a score of 9.850. The mark earned the junior a tie for 11th place.
Michigan came out victorious in the team portion of the competition, earning a score of 197.350 to best second place Alabama (196.625) and third place West Virginia (196.325).
