12/26/2025 11:00:00 AM | Football

The Pitt Panthers will close out the 2025 season on Saturday morning when they face the East Carolina Pirates in the Go Bowling Military Bowl at Navy–Marine Corps Memorial Stadium. Pitt enters the matchup at 8-4 overall and 6-2 in ACC play, earning its second appearance in the Military Bowl and its 39th bowl berth all-time. The game is scheduled for an 11 a.m. kickoff and will air on ESPN.
The game marks the eighth postseason appearance under head coach Pat Narduzzi, who has guided Pitt to a 2–5 mark in bowl games during his tenure. The Panthers’ most recent postseason win came in the 2022 Sun Bowl against UCLA. Pitt previously appeared in the Military Bowl in 2015, a loss to Navy, and will look to finish the season with a ninth victory for the third time under Narduzzi and the sixth time overall since 1982.
Saturday’s game will be the fifth meeting between Pitt and East Carolina, with the all-time series tied 2–2. The teams have not faced each other since 1992, when ECU earned a 37–31 victory. Pitt arrives in Annapolis following a late-season surge, going 6–2 over its final eight games, including four straight road wins and two victories over ranked opponents.
