
Pitt Athletics Finishes 10th in NCAA Helper Helper Final Rankings

PITTSBURGH — The University of Pittsburgh Department of Athletics ranked 10th overall in Division I and second amongst Power Four institutions in community service efforts during the 2024-25 school year, as publicized by Helper Helper in its annual report.
During the 2024-25 academic year, 53,941 participants from NCAA institutions combined for 610,216 hours of community service with an economic impact of $21.2 million.
Pitt, making its fourth top 10 appearance in the past five years, was one of only six Power Four institutions ranked in the top 25. Additionally, its 10th overall ranking was second best in the ACC.

The NCAA Helper Helper Service Challenge is a national community service competition for NCAA DI, DII and DIII athletic departments and student-athletes. Schools are ranked from a combination of total hours per student-athlete and participation rate of teams. It recognizes schools for their outstanding commitment to volunteerism and community service. Participation in the competition using the Helper Helper platform was open to all NCAA-affiliated schools.
