PITTSBURGH – The Pitt Basketball roster will feature a program-record matching five international prospects for the second consecutive season. Overall, the Panthers have had three or more internationals in each of the past four seasons.
Returnees from Senegal
Papa Amadou Kante (Dakar, Senegal) and Amdy Ndiaye (Dakar, Senegal) both found their way from Senegal to Pittsburgh following stops in the prep school ranks in the United States. The Senegalese tandem is looking to carve out bigger roles in the program with their size, energy, and activity on both ends of the floor. Amadou Kante, a former ESPN Top 100 prospect, suffered a knee injury that held him out of the 2022-23 season before rebounding last season to average 2.1 points and 1.1 rebounds, while going 16-of-29 (.552) from the field, in 7.0 minutes per game. He showcased his impact ability with 12 points, four rebounds, one steal, and one block in 17 minutes of action in a comeback win at Ohio State last season. Ndiaye, one of the most athletic players on the roster, saw limited action as a true freshman but remains a high upside forward with the ability to develop into an elite level defender and high-motor rebounding threat.
Coming From a Land Down Under
Henry Lau (Sydney, Australia) and Roman Siulepa (Brisbane, Australia) join the program as talent freshman with high level experience in Australia's National Basketball League. Lau was a developmental player with the Sydney Kings last season following a club career that saw him earn four all-state selections, three state club championships, and MVP honors twice. In his final season at Sydney Boys High, he was named Sydney High School Player of the Year honors after averaging 28.0 points, 15.0 rebounds, 4.0 assists, and 6.0 blocks per game.
Lau averaged 15.0 points, 1.4 blocks, and 1.0 steals per game, while shooting 52 percent from the field and 92 percent from the foul line for New South Wales at the 2025 U20 Australian National Championships and also competed in the 2024 U18 Australian National Championships where he posted 13.0 points, 2.8 assists, 2.1 blocks, and 1.3 steals per game.
Siulepa, the top prospect out of Australia, is coming off an impressive showing at the 2025 FIBA U19 World Cup. He led his home country to a sixth-place finish averaging 18.9 points and 8.1 rebounds per game to earn all-second team accolades. Siulepa posted a pair of double-doubles, including 19 points and 12 rebounds against a loaded U.S. team, and scored 15 or more points in all seven games of the event.
Siulepa, also a top rugby prospect, won MVP honors at the 2022 NBA Basketball Without Borders Asia Camp and the 2024 Australian U20 National Championship after averaging 24 points, 8.0 rebounds, and 4.0 assists per game. He helped Australia to the gold medal at the 2022 FIBA U16 Asian Championships and also participated in the 2022 FIBA U17 World Cup. The 2023 Queensland Basketball Player of the Year played for the South West Metro Pirates in the NBL1 and also claimed all-tournament honors after leading Australia to a gold medal in the 2024 Albert Schweitzer Tournament.
Lau and Siulepa are the first signees out of Australia in program history.
Oh, Canada
Freshman center Kieran Mullen arrives at Pitt following a prep season at St. Thomas More (Conn.). He averaged 9.7 points, 5.6 rebounds, 1.4 assists, and 1.3 blocks per game to help the Chancellors to a 27-12 record overall and runner-up finish at the 2025 National Prep Championship. He is a high energy center prospect who runs the floor extremely well and plays with physicality on both ends of the floor.
One More with International Ties
Nojus Indrusaitis was born and grew up in the United States but has deep roots in Lithuania, where he has competed with their international teams. He averaged 20.1 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 3.0 assists per game, while shooting 44.6 percent (54-of-121) from the field, including 35.4 percent (17-of-48) from three-point range over seven games at the 2024 U18 Eurobasket event. He was also named MVP at 2023 Basketball Without Borders Europe Camp. At the 2023 U18 Eurobasket Championship he posted 13.4 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game.
Indrusaitis earned all-tournament team accolades as well as a gold medal with the Lithuanian National Team at the 2022 FIBA U16 European Championship after averaging 15.1 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 1.4 assists per game.
