PITTSBURGH – Pitt infielder Gavin Miller was recently named to the 2025 Cal Ripken Sr. Collegiate Baseball League All-Star Game.
The CRSCBL All-Star Game will be played this Wednesday, July 9, at 7 PM ET. Miller will be representing the Alexandria Aces for the South All-Stars.
A Pittsburgh native, Miller returned home and transferred to Pitt as a junior last season. In his first year with the Panthers, Miller made 20 starts in his 32 games played. He collected 18 total bases, 17 hits, 13 RBIs and one double.
Miller walked off No. 12 West Virginia in a dramatic Backyard Brawl victory last May. The Panthers erased a four-run deficit in the bottom of the ninth inning to knock off their top-ranked rival. Miller drove in fellow Pittsburgh native, Anthony LaSala, on a groundball up the middle to complete the comeback.
For the Aces this season, the Panther infielder is batting .293 with 17 hits, 11 runs scored, nine RBIs and four doubles in his 17 games played.
