PITTSBURGH – The University of Pittsburgh football team opens its 2025 season on Saturday, August 30, when the Panthers host Duquesne University at Acrisure Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 12 p.m.
The game coincides with additional large-scale events on the North Shore, including the 2025 Banana Ball World Tour at PNC Park and the Acrisure Stadium Kickoff and Rib Fest along Art Rooney Avenue. Crowds exceeding 39,000 are expected at PNC Park for the Savannah Bananas exhibition baseball event that evening, while thousands more will visit the Rib Fest throughout the day.
The combination of events will significantly increase traffic and parking demand on the North Shore. Fans attending the Pitt-Duquesne game are strongly encouraged to arrive early and utilize public transportation.
