Ten Panthers Prep for TYR Summer Championships

PITTSBURGH – Six Panther women and four Panther men will swim in the TYR Summer Championships in Irvine, CA this week.
The 2025 TYR Summer Championships are being held in the William Woollett Jr. Aquatics Center from August 5 – 8.
Pitt's women representative's include Claire Jansen, Sydney Gring, Avery Kudlac, Kimmy Shannon, Mary Clarke and Giona Lavorini.
Jansen, Gring, Kudlac, Shannon and Clarke were all NCAA qualifiers last season. Jansen was a CSCAA All-American and NCAA honorable mention All-American in the 100 back for the 2024-25 season.
On the men's side, Pitt's Eli Hobson, Julian Koch, Mason Leach and Donat Fabian will compete in Irvine, CA this week. Hobson, Koch and Leach all boasted strong freshman campaigns last season. Koch and Fabian combined for a pair of relay school records at the ACC Championships in February.
