Pitt Softball to Open 2026 Season at the NFCA Leadoff Classic

PITTSBURGH – The Pitt softball team will open the 2026 season at the NFCA Division I Leadoff Classic, Feb. 5-8, at the Eddie C. More Complex in Clearwater, Fla. The Panthers will play five games over the three-day tournament, as announced by the association Thursday afternoon.
The Panthers will open the tournament Feb. 6, with a doubleheader against North Carolina Central and Longwood and follow with another doubleheader Feb. 7 against Auburn and Michigan State. Pitt will close out the tournament with a single game against Eastern Kentucky on Feb. 8.
All games will be streamed live for free on the GameChanger App.
Pitt is one of 18 programs participating in the tournament, with this appearance marking their second consecutive year in the classic.
