Pitt opens Atlantic Coast Conference play Saturday when it hosts Louisville at Acrisure Stadium. The Panthers have won seven of their past 10 meetings with the Cardinals, including a 38-21 victory in the teams’ last matchup in Pittsburgh in 2023. Kickoff is scheduled for noon on ESPN2.
Louisville enters with the league’s second-ranked defense, allowing 244.7 yards per game, while Pitt counters with the ACC’s third-best scoring offense at 43.3 points per game. Quarterback Eli Holstein leads the Panthers with 822 passing yards and nine touchdowns through three games, pacing the conference in passing efficiency (171.30) and yards per completion (14.2). Wide receiver Raphael “Poppi” Williams Jr. ranks among the ACC leaders with 245 receiving yards and three touchdowns, while linebacker Rasheem Biles leads the league with 10.0 tackles per game.
